Kendell was a witch. A shaman. A tarot reader, astrologer, and occultist. It started in college with a friend's deck of tarot cards — a simple door she opened — and escalated over years into full-blown witchcraft, altars in her home, and a dangerous syncretism of Hindu deities, Christian saints, and folk magic.
"Everything was going according to plan. I was being a god in my own life."
And then one day, everything stopped working. Her spells failed. Her energy depleted. She couldn't sleep. She heard voices. Things moved in her house. She was losing weight and thought she was losing her mind — she seriously considered checking herself into a mental institution.
In that darkness, she fell to her knees and said, "Jesus, help me."
She hadn't talked to Jesus in a long time. "He was there in a heartbeat. I heard the words: I've always been here."
She searched online and found "Talk to a Pastor." A pastor in Kansas named Steve responded. She was born again over the phone within three days. Through Pastor Steve, she was connected to Together in Battle — and Cody led her through a Freedom Session that she described as "the most supernatural experience I've ever felt."
She was delivered from rejection, witchcraft, and fear.
"The biggest burden that was released was — I don't have to protect myself anymore. I'm not God, and I'm not good at being God."
Today, Kendell serves in deliverance ministry alongside Cody. God has reframed her past and gifted her with teaching, prophecy, and discernment of spirits — using everything the enemy meant for evil to help set other people free.
